About Us
Duffloo is a Toronto wash-and-fold service with free pickup* and next-day delivery*, run by a small team and a vetted network of Washer Heroes.
Our Mission and Vision
Duffloo started with one chore: laundry. We pick it up at your door, a Washer Hero in your area washes, dries and folds it, and it comes back the next day*. Over time we want to take more household chores off people's lists the same way, while giving Heroes flexible work close to home.
If you'd like to help build that, as a Washer Hero or on the team, we'd like to hear from you.
Our Story
Duffloo started in Toronto in July 2022, at a laundry basket. Hassan Jamil was folding clothes with his spouse and noticed how differently the two of them felt about it. Some people find laundry calming; others will do almost anything to avoid it. What if the people who don't mind it could be paid by the people who do, neighbour to neighbour? That is the idea behind Duffloo's peer-to-peer laundry service.
Before building anything, Hassan studied the laundry industry and the services already out there, and talked to people across Toronto about how they actually get their laundry done. Peer-to-peer laundry already worked in other countries, but nobody was offering it in Canada.
So Duffloo was built here: a Toronto service where local Washer Heroes wash and fold for the people around them, with the care and convenience you'd want from a neighbour.
Duffloo Team and Leadership
Duffloo is a small team in Toronto working with a network of background-checked, trained Washer Heroes and drivers. The team runs bookings, payments, support and the standards every order is held to; the Heroes do the washing, drying and folding in their own homes.
Between us, the goal is simple: your laundry comes back clean, folded and on time, and the people doing the work are treated fairly.

How Duffloo works, in a few sentences
You book a pickup. A Washer Hero who lives in your part of the city collects your laundry, washes and folds it in their own home, and brings it back the next day. We run the booking, the payments, the support and the standards that hold it all together.
Because each Hero serves the area around their own home, your laundry doesn't cross the city to a plant and back. It goes a few streets away, to someone who chose to do this work, and comes home folded.
How we choose and look after Washer Heroes
Every Hero is an independent contractor who has passed a criminal record check, verified their identity, registered for GST/HST and completed our training before their first order. They sign an agreement that sets out how customers' laundry is handled.
Heroes keep every tip, and their pay never falls below the Ontario minimum wage for the time they spend on orders.

How we look after your clothes
Your detergent and drying choices travel with every order, and your laundry comes back folded in clear, labelled bags. If something goes wrong, our support team works it through with you and the Hero.
For extra cover on the clothes you care about most, there's the Clothes Safeguard Plan.
