Pricing questions
Do you have a minimum order?
Yes. The minimum order is 20 lbs — about 1 to 2 full loads. If your laundry weighs less than 20 lbs, you are still charged for 20 lbs.
A minimum order is $30.48 before HST — $34.44 with it. That is $25.00 of laundry at $1.25/lb, plus a $3.99 Platform Service Fee and a $1.49 Trust & Safety Fee. 13% HST applies on top. Extras, and any distance surcharge for remote addresses, are added on top and shown before you confirm. Current rates are always on our pricing page and in the app.
Is there a contract or subscription?
No. Duffloo is pay-per-order. There are no subscriptions or contracts required.
Do you accept discount codes?
Yes. Enter a discount code on the order summary screen before you confirm, and the discount is applied to your order and itemised on your receipt.
If a friend referred you, their referral code goes in its own box on the same screen — that one is for first orders only. Both can apply to the same order. Codes have no cash value, may expire, and can't be sold or posted publicly.
Can I cancel or change my pickup?
Yes, and you can do it yourself in the app.
Cancel free up to one (1) hour before your scheduled pickup window, in the app or by calling 1-833-DUFFLOO. If you cancel later than that, a cancellation fee may apply, and it is shown to you before it is charged. Once your laundry has been picked up, the order can't be cancelled.
You can also move your pickup and delivery dates once, yourself, from the order screen. After that, message your Washer Hero or contact support and we will sort it out.
What counts as a large item?
Large items start from $10.99 each. A large item is anything that has to be washed or dried on its own cycle because of its size, thickness or drying time. Add large items at checkout; we confirm them from a photo or video before the charge is confirmed, and may decline an item.
Pricing:
- $10.99 per item (standard): needs its own cycle in a regular machine, e.g. regular pillows, pillow-size plush toys, pet mats, thin duvets with plastic backing.
- $14.99 per item (oversized): too big for a regular machine or needs extra drying, e.g. comforters, extra-thick duvets, large blankets, thick or large mats, washable rugs, sleeping bags, parkas and heavy winter coats, pet beds.
Regular jackets and coats, bed sheets and covers, pillow covers and standard curtains are not large items; they're washed by weight with the rest of your order.
Orders with large items need longer machine time, so next-day delivery doesn't apply. If we can't safely wash or dry an item, we decline it and you aren't charged for it.
